The University of Surrey is one of the UK’s top professional, scientific and technological universities. Named as The Times and Sunday Times University of the Year 2016, Surrey has a world-class profile and a leading reputation in teaching and research.

It offers students a unique combination of high academic standards, employment success and a prime location in beautiful surroundings, yet with ease of access to London.

The University of Surrey’s Royal Charter was signed on 9 September 1966, establishing us in Guildford from our roots in Battersea, London. We’re proud of our rich heritage and the positive, life-changing impact we’ve had globally through the strength of our research, teaching, innovation and enterprise.

Through our renowned Professional Training placements, students enjoy the opportunity to experience the working world as part of their undergraduate programme – giving them a head-start upon graduation and contributing to our outstanding record of graduate employability.

Our campus is teeming with activity and investment, with a new 5G Innovation Centre and School of Veterinary Medicine continuing a trend of multi-million pound developments that have made a positive impact on the University and our local community.

Internationalisation permeates all that we do at Surrey, contributing significantly to our mission to solve global challenges, lead research and innovation, and fuel generations of students with a spirit of curiosity and a desire to improve the world we live in.
