Why Surrey?
We have a wide range of testbeds available for projects, including anaechoic chamber, wireless networking, wireless sensors, satellite networking, and security testbeds, Future internet testbed and cloud infrastructure. We also have a wide range of software tools for assignments and project work, including OPNET, NS2/3, Matlab, C, C++ and various system simulators. If you want to work closely with industry, we have, annually, a large number of industrial projects that you can choose from.

Programme overview
Mobile telephony is reaching saturation in the most technologically advanced countries and is rapidly becoming the main telecommunications infrastructure in the rest of the world. This programme gives you a thorough understanding of the engineering aspects of this rapidly developing field, as well as new emerging systems for support of broadband mobile internet.

Module overview

In common with many MSc programmes, Medical Imaging is taught over twelve months and split over two semesters. A dissertation project is carried out over the summer (project) period and is concluded at the end of the academic year.

Entry requirements
A good honours degree in electronic engineering, mathematics, computing or physical sciences. Our minimum entry level is a 2.2 from a good UK university, or overseas equivalent. Relevant industrial experience will also be considered.
