Scholarships description
Scholarships for postgraduate study tenable at Harvard University and also at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Open to:

British citizens who will have graduated by the time of taking up an award. Graduate applicants must have spent at least two of the seven years prior to 1 September 2019 studying as an undergraduate at a UK University, graduating from their first degree not earlier than 2014. Those studying for a first degree at a UK university and due to graduate in the academic year 2018-2019 are also eligible.

Available for Graduate Programmes across all Schools & Departments:

– Special Student/non-degree
– Master’s
– PhD (External funding is welcomed for funded doctoral programmes)
– Visiting Fellowship Year of additional research towards UK PhD

Award offers:

– Full fees & health insurance
– Tax free stipend of at least $26,000, likely to be means-tested
– generous contribution towards outward and return flight
– Additional vacation travel grant of $2,500
– Opportunity to be part of a scholarship programme valued by the Kennedy family and with distinguished alumni in leading positions in the UK and US.

The Scholarship application deadline is 24 October 2018.

Harvard and MIT deadlines will be later.

Interviews will take place in London on 7 & 8 January 2019. Candidates must attend in person.

The Kennedy Memorial Trust maintains the UK’s memorial to President John Kennedy, seeking to perpetuate the memory of his outlook and achievements. Kennedy Scholarships constitute a living memorial, in addition to the memorial in landscape and stone at Runnymede, Surrey.
