Salary: £33,070-£39,038 depending on experience (inclusive of London allowance)

Location: Waterloo, London

Are you results oriented, well organised, willing to learn and able to demonstrate initiative in prioritising a busy workload? If so we are looking to appoint an Applications Analyst within the Web & Enterprise Applications section of IT Systems. The post holder will join one of the teams dealing with the support and development of the College's enterprise business applications. At least initially, the position will be focused on developing and supporting our large integrated library systems (Aleph).

The Web & Enterprise Applications department of IT Systems is an ITIL based, service oriented department that provides systems analysis and design, applications and software maintenance, support and development and training to support the business requirements of the College community of 5,700 staff and 21,000 students.

Essential Criteria for the Applications Analyst include:

  • Degree or equivalent - Business Information Systems, Computer Sciences or related qualifications
  • Knowledge & experience of Library Management System
  • SQL or related database query languages
  • Demonstrated skills in developing scripts and queries against enterprise database systems like Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL databases
  • Demonstrated skills in developing reports and/or analytical applications, using one or more industry standard reporting tools
  • Hands-on knowledge of XML, HTML, Web technologies & Java

Previous experience of ITIL Service management and Project management are highly desirable.

Salary for this permanent position will be at an appropriate point of Grade 6, currently £33,070- £39,038 per annum (inclusive of London allowance). Benefits include a contributory final salary pension scheme, subsidised gym membership and addition to 27 days of annual leave including, they are 4 college closure days and public holidays.
