MSc in Biology of Vision
The MSc in Biology of Vision is intended for students who wish to extend their knowledge and expertise in ocular cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience and physiology and who would like to specialise in the biology of the eye as an integrated biological system. Also offered is a substantial six-month research project element.
On completion of the programme, students will have an enhanced knowledge and understanding of scientific communication skills, project design and data analysis, sophisticated laboratory techniques and valuable experience of working within a functioning research environment.
The programme provides excellent preparation for a PhD or a research career in either industry or academia.
Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a minimum of a UK second-class Honours degree in a Medical, Biomedical or Life Sciences subject, or its equivalent. Applicants with other science degrees or appropriate professional qualifications will also be considered on an individual basis.
