MSc in Clinical Ophthalmology
This is a new programme supported by the London / KSS School of Ophthalmology. It is intended for ST1 and ST2 ophthalmic trainees and provides the highest quality teaching covering all aspects of ophthalmology, yet offers flexibility to accommodate the demanding clinical timetables of junior trainees. The programme is excellent preparation for the Part 1 FRCOphth Examination and will include the competencies required for Year 1 and Year 2 trainees, as required by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
The programme is part-time over two years, with opportunities to study for either a Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Ophthalmology; flexible study options are also offered.
Applicants will be expected to hold a Medical, Orthoptics or Optometry degree. Ophthalmologists should be in ophthalmic training posts at ST1 and ST2 level in the UK. The programme may also be available to Ophthalmologists who are in other clinical posts and Ophthalmologists in the EU, and to qualified and experienced Optometrists and Orthoptists in hospital practice.
