MSc Chemical Biology

The University of Leeds is the first university in the UK to offer a taught MSc degree in Chemical Biology. Chemical Biology involves the application of the tools and ideas of Chemistry in the solution of biological problems. More information on the course may be found at www.chembio.leeds.ac.uk  

The following funded studentships will be available on a competitive basis for entry in 2008-09. The minimum entry requirement is a BSc(Hons) 2.1 or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related subject. Interviews for places will take place in April-June in the year of entry.

* For outstanding UK and EU applicants, prestigious industrially funded scholarships. These scholarships cover payment of tuition fees at UK/EC level and a tax-free maintenance grant of £12 900 (for UK applicants) or £9 000 (for applicants from elsewhere in the EU).

* Other awards covering payment of tuition fees at UK/EC level, and for UK applicants, and a tax-free maintenance grant of up to £12 900.

* Lower level awards covering UK/EC tuition fees only.

* For strong international students, a contribution towards the international fees.
