JOB DESCRIPTION

Part-Time MSc/Food Industry Training

University of Bristol and Hilton Meats

Earn as you learn scheme - an exciting new partnership between the University of Bristol and the food industry aimed at University graduates.

Some of the UK's largest food companies have joined with one of the country's leading Universities in an exciting new training scheme aimed at University graduates. Under the scheme, graduates work for a commercial company but are given time to study towards a postgraduate qualification in Meat Science at the University of Bristol. The scheme allows graduates to ‘earn while they learn' and gain valuable experience. It's an ideal way to begin a satisfying career in one of the largest sectors of the food industry.

Exciting positions are available with various companies at locations throughout the UK.

The positions offer an attractive starting salary, with excellent prospects after completing the training.

Hilton Food Group plc (www.hiltonfoodgroupplc.com) is a leading processor of beef and lamb, with operations across Europe. The group employs 1200 people and has an annual turnover in excess of £500m. Applicants are now being sought for a new position under the ‘earn as you learn' scheme based at the group's ultra-modern facility in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Applicants should hold an honours degree (min. 2ii) from a UK or European University. A degree in animal, food or veterinary science is ideal. Candidates with experience of working in the food industry are also invited to apply.

Successful candidates will begin postgraduate study in October 2008.
